Trump says that his impending Executive Orders will impact every country. But no one knows if the fees will be distributed equally or if the White House will rapidly cut deals with the affected nations.
&ldquo;Tariffs should be a clearly articulated policy that's promised over years, and not a negotiating tool,&rdquo; says Jim Rickards&rsquo; senior analyst, Dan Amoss. &ldquo;Because if they are a negotiating tool, businesses can't plan.&rdquo;
The president&rsquo;s ultimate goal is to convince companies to build more of their products in the United States.
In fact, Trump has already signed an Executive Order that will tax vehicles based on how many foreign components they contain
So the biggest winners will be businesses that reshore production as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Dan warns that companies that specialize in things &ldquo;like apparel or low-end electronics will never be competitive to make in the United States.&rdquo;
Zach Scheidt, our income and trading specialist, think the tariffs will be very good for domestic steel producers.
He expects a beaten-down name to restart its dividend payouts once cash comes rolling back in thanks to the tariffs.

It&rsquo;s been a rough few weeks for cryptocurrency investors.
They surged after President Trump&rsquo;s election victory&hellip; only to slump again as his administration focused its attention elsewhere.
But Trump hasn&rsquo;t forgotten his promise to create a National Strategic Cryptocurrency Reserve. In fact, he&rsquo;s hosting a cryptocurrency summit at the White House this week.
The news alone has sent Bitcoin soaring higher.
And according to James Altucher, lesser-known cryptos are set for even bigger gains!
That&rsquo;s because Trump wants the United States to hold more than just Bitcoin.
In fact, he&rsquo;s specifically named Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and more as likely components of the Reserve.
James has long said he prefers Ethereum over Bitcoin because its blockchain is much more versatile.
This time, however, Solana might be the better bet.

As we start the short trading week, our team is closely following three separate but related headlines:

<li>U.S. and Russian officials are meeting to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.</li>

<li>Elon Musk has set his sights on the U.S. military.</li>

<li>And the Trump administration is rethinking gold&rsquo;s role in the U.S. economy.</li>
</ul>
Each has the potential to move the markets in dramatic ways.
Let&rsquo;s start with Ukraine. In our Top Stories, Matt Insley predicts the war could be over before the month ends.
Any peace deal would involve ending or at least reducing sanctions against Russia.
That would let Russian oil and gas trade freely, a sudden boost to supply that could send energy prices plummeting.
Our team also says that German industrial stocks will be major beneficiaries of natural gas pipelines opening back up. And we may see pent-up demand for Russian stocks that have been frozen on U.S. exchanges.
Peace would also be bad for defense companies that have been supplying weapons to the conflict.
Companies like Lockheed Martin Corp. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/LMT">LMT</a>) and Boeing Co. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/BA">BA</a>) could get hit even harder as Elon Musk and DOGE turn their attention to the Pentagon&rsquo;s books.
Our in-house military expert, Byron King, has long criticized Lockheed&rsquo;s F-35 fighter plane &mdash; and believes the program will take a massive hit once the real numbers behind it are brought to light.
More recently, Elon has announced that he wants to take a tour of Fort Knox&hellip; this time to check on the gold that&rsquo;s supposed to be there. He&rsquo;s even suggested bringing cameras so the American public can see it for themselves, too.
It&rsquo;s part of the Trump administration&rsquo;s bigger focus on gold.
In fact, the government could revalue gold based on Treasury certificates that still list the official price of the precious metal at around $42 an ounce. (An ounce of gold on the open market sells for over $2,900.)
A revaluation would instantly improve the nation&rsquo;s balance sheet, assuming we actually own all the gold we claim to.
But either way, it would have a dramatic effect on gold&rsquo;s market price&hellip; perhaps sending it on its way to $10,000 an ounce, as our Jim Rickards has predicted.
We&rsquo;re watching all three of these topics very carefully.

First in the Forum today, Greg Guenther recently gave Trading Desk members a chance for big gains. He recommended buying call options on the VanEck Gold Miners ETF (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/GDX">GDX</a>)... then said to sell them three weeks later for a 157% gain.
But that was just his official &ldquo;cash line&rdquo; result. The Trading Desk live chat has been flooded with comments from people who saw even bigger gains.
Evan K. reports he got &ldquo;in GDX at $0.96 and out at $2.51 for a 169.47% net profit.&rdquo; Charles S. says he &ldquo;closed the position in GDX for a 163% gain.&rdquo; And Eric H. got &ldquo;out of GDX at $2.55 [for a] 183% gain.&rdquo;

Trump carried out his tariff threat against Canada and Mexico last week &mdash; only to put them on pause for a month after the countries made some concessions for his demand.
Now steel and aluminum are on the table&hellip; most of which reaches the United States through Canada and Mexico.
Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum has shown she&rsquo;s willing to do whatever necessary to keep her country&rsquo;s economy running smoothly.
But the things she&rsquo;s doing to get on Trump&rsquo;s good side are bad news for the people who hold the real power in Mexico &mdash; the drug lords and cartels.
&ldquo;Mexico is not a country,&rdquo; Jim Rickards tells us. &ldquo;It's a narco-state dressed up as a sovereign.&rdquo;
And Trump is targeting the cartel&rsquo;s most important exports &mdash; illegal drugs and human trafficking.
While steel and aluminum tariffs might not directly cut into those revenues, they give Trump more leverage to deal with the drug lords.
So it&rsquo;s only a matter of time before the cartels start striking back.
&ldquo;They&rsquo;re not going down without a fight,&rdquo; says our Byron King. &ldquo;They&rsquo;re going to turn the border into a warzone.&rdquo;
Jim&rsquo;s analysis is even more grim. &ldquo;&ldquo;I expect a shooting war between Mexico and the U.S. in the near future.&rdquo;
Mexico is still a major trading partner. So a hot war would have major effects on our economy, not to mention the stock market.

Ray Blanco condemned DeepSeek and accused them of stealing other people&rsquo;s technology as well as using Nvidia&rsquo;s (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/NVDA">NVDA</a>) chips. James Altucher just sent an email saying that DeepSeek is the best thing since sliced bread. So who&rsquo;s right here?

Normally, I&rsquo;d point out that the Paradigm Press team doesn&rsquo;t always agree. We pride ourselves on our independence &mdash; providing you a wide variety of viewpoints and analysis.
But in this case, Ray and James&rsquo; thoughts on DeepSeek don&rsquo;t cancel each other out.
Chinese computer scientists claim they made DeepSeek for $5.6 million &mdash; a fraction of what U.S. companies are spending on similar AI programs. Wall Street immediately assumed that meant America&rsquo;s huge AI expenditures were a waste of money.
Ray, however, points out that China&rsquo;s math doesn&rsquo;t add up. So you shouldn&rsquo;t worry that the United States is falling behind or even spending too much on AI. He also admits that DeepSeek is more efficient than U.S. AI programs &mdash; which will push domestic companies to increase their efficiency.
James, meanwhile, doesn&rsquo;t dispute anything Ray says. Instead, his point is that regardless of how much China really spent to develop DeepSeek, it still offers a lower-cost alternative. Smaller companies that couldn&rsquo;t afford hefty AI price tags can settle for the Chinese knock-off instead.
U.S. companies will have to adapt to compete, which is better for everyone.
So, did the Chinese lie about how much it cost to create DeepSeek? Ray presents plenty of evidence that it did.
Will DeepSeek spur more innovation and help more companies jump on the AI bandwagon? James says yes.

Congrats, Rich. But I have not received any sell alerts on any of these stocks. I receive and read every one I get. And yet a company like SoundHound (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/SOUN">SOUN</a>) , which is in the portfolio, is down over 1200% and there has been no sell alert issued. Am I missing something or are we on our own? 
Sorry to hear your experience hasn&rsquo;t been as positive, Tim. But I&rsquo;m assuming your 1200% loss on SoundHound is a typo, because the lowest stock shares can go is 100%.
Even then, SOUN isn&rsquo;t in the Microcap Millionaire portfolio.
