The news broke during our Paradigm Shift Summit in Nashville, TN.
China announced it was tightening its grip on more rare earth elements &mdash; adding new restrictions and fees to the high-tech raw materials.
Donald Trump immediately responded with new tariff threats&hellip; sending the major indexes crashing.
But the president softened his tone over the weekend, re-igniting Wall Street&rsquo;s bullish euphoria.
Just don&rsquo;t think the problems have been solved.
Yes, the U.S. government is throwing tons of money at &ldquo;American birthright&rdquo; companies, trying to build out domestic rare earth production as quickly as possible.
Getting those facilities up and running will still take years, however.
&ldquo;We require a Manhattan Project on steroids for rare earths, beginning yesterday,&rdquo; says our Byron King. &ldquo;Actually, beginning 15 years ago.&rdquo;
Without home grown supplies of rare earths, U.S. companies are at China&rsquo;s mercy.
For example, Nvidia and other semiconductor makers rely on a rare earth element called dysprosium. It helps make their chips more heat resistant.
But right now there&rsquo;s a single source for pure dysprosium&hellip; a refinery in China.
It&rsquo;s also one of the rare earths that China has placed restrictions on.
And while Trump has struck a more conciliatory tone, the Chinese haven&rsquo;t walked back any of their threats yet.
That could spell trouble for AI stocks&hellip; while giving U.S. rare earth stocks a lot more room to run.

&ldquo;Does the average mainstream investor even know that the SPDR Gold Trust (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/GLD">GLD</a>) is beating the Nasdaq year-to-date?&rdquo; asks Greg Guenthner, one of our top chart specialists. &ldquo;I doubt it.&rdquo;

In other words, the real action won&rsquo;t begin until we&rsquo;re seeing &ldquo;cash for gold&rdquo; signs and advertisements everywhere.
Jim Rickards expects gold to top $4,000 an ounce this year&hellip; and $5,000 next year &mdash; on its way to an eventual $25,000 an ounce.
So if you&rsquo;re holding gold and mining stocks, be patient. The best is yet to come.

In all the presentations I've heard, no one has told me how to purchase shares online with a credit card. Can you do that?
There&rsquo;s a good reason we haven&rsquo;t discussed buying stocks with a credit card, Brian &mdash; it&rsquo;s a terrible idea!
First, buying stocks requires you to open and fund a brokerage account, as <a href="https://concierge.paradigmpressgroup.com/post/how-to-choose-the-best-brokerage-account-for-you">described in our free Wealth Desk here</a>.
If you do that with a credit card, you&rsquo;re essentially taking out a loan. And if you don&rsquo;t pay the balance at the end of the month, you&rsquo;ll have to make minimum payments, plus interest.
Even with the Federal Reserve&rsquo;s latest interest rate cut, most credit cards still charge you much more than a typical loan. So if you&rsquo;re trying to pay off your stock purchase over time, it&rsquo;s likely your interest payments will eclipse any capital gains or dividends you collect.
That&rsquo;s probably why I&rsquo;m not aware of any brokerage firm that lets you fund your account with a credit card. Instead, they offer margin accounts. Among other things, a margin account lets you buy stock using a combination of your money and cash borrowed from the broker.
It can still be very risky if you don&rsquo;t know what you&rsquo;re doing&hellip; but at least the interest you&rsquo;ll pay on the loan is usually a fraction of what credit cards charge.

However, I have found little to nothing here to help us with limiting the losses on the options and investments that are suggested in your services.

Also, many of our services do suggest stop-loss strategies, as discussed in our <a href="https://concierge.paradigmpressgroup.com/post/stock-investing-101-buying-selling-and-earning-income">Stock Investing 101</a> guide. A stop-loss order simply tells your broker to automatically close a position if its price falls to a certain level or percentage.
But not all of our analysts think stop-loss orders are a good idea. For one thing, if the market overreacts to news and triggers the stop-loss, you could miss out on the potential rebound.
In fact, deep-pocketed traders can intentionally try to manipulate prices lower, knowing they&rsquo;ll set off automatic sell orders. The sudden surge in selling causes the price to fall even further, giving the manipulator a chance to buy in at a bargain price.
It&rsquo;s known as &ldquo;stop hunting&rdquo;... and it&rsquo;s much easier to do with smaller, thinly traded instruments like small caps and options. So our team has to be extra careful when recommending these instruments.

Why do I need a broker to buy shares in these companies? Why can't I just send them a check or a credit card with other necessary information?
While Jim&rsquo;s team saw your question, Ruben, I thought the answer would benefit all of our members.
And I get where you&rsquo;re coming from&hellip; but it&rsquo;s kind of like asking why you need to apply for a license to open a business. That&rsquo;s just the way things are.
The major stock exchanges control who can buy and sell shares directly on their exchange. Brokers have met all the requirements and paid all the fees for that privilege. So you need to work with a broker if you want to trade on the exchange, too.
Now, some companies do offer direct investment programs &mdash; meaning you can pay the company directly to purchase shares. Fees tend to be higher, though, since few brokers charge for buying or selling stock. And selling may not be as straightforward as it is through a brokerage account.
So until the entire Wall Street system changes, a broker offers the best and broadest access to the stock shares we recommend.

And we&rsquo;re trying to lock in a special guest or two, as well.

But how you print them depends on the software your device is using. All of the Wealth Desk reports are available in &ldquo;portable document format,&rdquo; also known as a PDF.
Clicking on the &ldquo;Download Report&rdquo; button should open the PDF in a new window&hellip; and there should be a button to print the report.
