Memorial Day meant a short trading week &mdash; giving our analysts some time to pause and reflect.
So I asked what YOU were planning to buy this summer.
Not surprisingly, gold stocks came out on top&hellip;

The reasons why weren&rsquo;t surprising, either.
Gail G. voted for gold because &ldquo;people are worried, we have no real money and gold is real.&rdquo;
Gerard B., meanwhile, thinks &ldquo;President Trump will take us back to a gold and silver standard to control future government spending.&rdquo;
Oddly enough, Robert B. takes the opposite view.
&ldquo;Trump&rsquo;s spending bill will be ratified in some form,&rdquo; he tells us. &ldquo;More debt, dollar devaluation, inflation, more consumer movement to gold.&rdquo;
I was also surprised that &ldquo;Other&rdquo; had such a strong showing &mdash; meaning members didn&rsquo;t agree with ANY of the categories we offered. But looking at those responses tells me we just weren&rsquo;t specific enough.
Kraig M., for example, says the best bet &ldquo;will be the junior gold stocks.&rdquo; In a similar vein, Tom S. chose &ldquo;Other,&rdquo; telling us he&rsquo;s buying &ldquo;gold and silver bullion [because] nothing in the world has changed.&rdquo;
People who truly picked &ldquo;Other&rdquo; include Joe B., who says, &ldquo;Foreign stocks are significantly undervalued.&rdquo; Brian C. is looking at &ldquo;defense and AI-related energy, like nuclear and gas pipelines.&rdquo;
Cryptocurrencies and tech stocks were also popular choices.
Kenny H. says, &ldquo;People will continue to be more informed and better educated about crypto and how to use and invest in it.&rdquo; 
Clifton J. agrees that &ldquo;conversations on infrastructure for mass adoption case uses will begin to educate what crypto and blockchain is, how it can benefit business and society.&rdquo;
Mass adoption was also the reason many members are bullish on tech.
&ldquo;AI is enabling many areas to improve rapidly with more effectiveness. crypto automation, mining research via sensors, Communications,&rdquo; Randy J. says. &ldquo;All should become cheaper, faster, better made and way better.&rdquo;
Perhaps the biggest surprise was how few people are expecting stocks to fall or are avoiding the markets all together.
Marji S. is one of the few people focusing on downside stocks, telling us, &ldquo;I think there will be a significant downturn lasting a year or so.&rdquo; 
Stephen S. is sticking with cash due to a &ldquo;possible reset to the stock market.&rdquo; Chuck G., on the other hand, advises waiting for the dust to settle &mdash; &ldquo;then look for bargains in August.&rdquo; 
All in all, it was a very enlightening survey&hellip; giving our team plenty of insights into your thinking as we head into the summer months.

As you point out, Greg recommended selling just half your position&hellip; meaning your remaining options could become even more valuable.
And while QBTS is Greg&rsquo;s biggest win so far this year, he&rsquo;s delivered plenty of other wins over the past few weeks &mdash; including multiple opportunities to double your money or more.

<blockquote>I would like to see the team be more communicative with the losing trades. I'm no expert, but it seems that we want to minimize the loss on trades that go the wrong way&hellip;. Its crickets for commentary on these. Please have the team be more communicative sooner on the trades that are losing to close them out before the trade is a complete loss.</blockquote>
I understand your concern, Timothy. No one likes to lose money. It can be doubly frustrating when it seems like our analysts have gone silent on the matter.
Rest assured that our team takes money management and risk control very seriously. We don&rsquo;t stick with a losing trade simply out of stubbornness or pride.
At the same time, it doesn&rsquo;t make sense to sell everytime a stock or option&rsquo;s price starts to fall. In fact, with today&rsquo;s market volatility, there&rsquo;s a very good chance prices will bounce the other way. So our analysts have to balance the odds of a turnaround against the risk of the asset ultimately going lower.
It&rsquo;s particularly tricky with options, which have a very real chance of rebounding right before expiration.
And even if it doesn&rsquo;t look like that will happen, it might still make sense to hold the option until expiration. That&rsquo;s because brokers often charge you for options transactions, including selling your position. Those added fees will make the loss sting all the more.
We do try to be open and honest about our losses, though. And I&rsquo;ll remind the team to keep our members in mind when it looks like a trade won&rsquo;t go our way.

I am currently long on Palantir Technologies Inc. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/PLTR">PLTR</a>)... 80 shares bought at $64.57, now $127.87&hellip; Then I add to it a range of options&hellip; at $75, $80 and $100, with expiry of 1/16/26. This gives me a fairly long time to watch the market and pull the trigger&hellip; I did the same with NVIDIA Corp. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/NVDA">NVDA</a>) and saw returns of greater than 1,000%! And currently with SPDR Gold Trust (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/GLD">GLD</a>), which I've netted so far in two months over $10k. 
Congratulations on 11 successful years with us, Phillipe&hellip; and also on the big wins that our research inspired!
We don&rsquo;t currently have any services that match stock shares with options plays &mdash; but looking at your results, I wonder if we should start one.

The major indexes rallied last week thanks to better-than-expected employment numbers and news that China might be willing to negotiate on tariffs.
Just don&rsquo;t expect it to last.
According to Rickards&rsquo; Senior Analyst Dan Amoss, &ldquo;The Chinese side says Trump must drop all unilateral tariffs before they can even set up an official meeting.&rdquo;
In other words, Trump will have to cancel the current tariffs before China starts talking.
And Trump might see the market&rsquo;s upturn as proof that Wall Street wants him to be tough on China.
So expect more back-and-forth bickering that sends the markets bouncing up and down again.
Meanwhile, U.S. ports are going idle thanks to a lack of overseas cargo. It could spur the kind of shortages we saw during the COVID lockdowns.
The first to feel the crunch will be the trucks and trains that carry those goods across the country.
The transportation industry.
&ldquo;Transport stocks will have another big leg lower through the summer,&rdquo; Dan predicts.
We&rsquo;re talking about companies like United Parcel Service Inc. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/UPS">UPS</a>)... Union Pacific Corp. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/UNP">UNP</a>)... Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. Trump&rsquo;s tariff promises and threats have created a roller coaster on Wall Street.
Now investors are bracing for another wave of tariff announcements on Wednesday &mdash; which the president has dubbed &ldquo;Liberation Day.&rdquo;
Trump says that his impending Executive Orders will impact every country. But no one knows if the fees will be distributed equally or if the White House will rapidly cut deals with the affected nations.
&ldquo;Tariffs should be a clearly articulated policy that's promised over years, and not a negotiating tool,&rdquo; says Jim Rickards&rsquo; senior analyst, Dan Amoss. &ldquo;Because if they are a negotiating tool, businesses can't plan.&rdquo;
The president&rsquo;s ultimate goal is to convince companies to build more of their products in the United States.
In fact, Trump has already signed an Executive Order that will tax vehicles based on how many foreign components they contain
So the biggest winners will be businesses that reshore production as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Dan warns that companies that specialize in things &ldquo;like apparel or low-end electronics will never be competitive to make in the United States.&rdquo;
Zach Scheidt, our income and trading specialist, think the tariffs will be very good for domestic steel producers.
He expects a beaten-down name to restart its dividend payouts once cash comes rolling back in thanks to the tariffs.
