Paradigm’s New SHIFT!

We’ve heard you… and changes are coming!

I’ll share some of the most eye-opening responses from last week’s survey in a minute.

More importantly, I’ll tell you about three NEW initiatives that Publisher Matt Insley is launching based on your comments.

You’ll get all the details after our usual look at our Top Stories.

Your Top Stories & Analysis of the Week:

  • “SpaceX’s Excellent Timing” (Paradigm Pressroom’s 5 Bullets, Dave Gonigam): While the press has been focused on Elon Musk’s politics, his companies have been celebrating some major tech accomplishments. As Dave explains, even Musk’s “Cybercab” is a bigger deal than what’s been reported. Dave also spotlights how the government of California is stifling innovation because of Musk’s opinions… discusses how U.S. soldiers could be used as human shields in the Middle East… and reveals one of the weirdest ways people are using AI.
  • “Seriously, Is Anyone Still Voting For Kamala?” (Rude Awakening, Sean Ring): The presidential election is coming into the home stretch — but Democrats seem determined to sabotage any chance they have for victory. Sean details some of the recent unforced errors, from Barack Obama’s misguided appeal to black male voters to Kamala Harris’ disastrous interview on Fox News. Member Dan C. calls Sean’s take “spot on” — one of many who made it our most-liked e-letter last week.
  • “Taiwan Semi's Trillion-Dollar Message: The AI Boom Is Just Getting Started” (Altucher’s Investment Network, James Altucher): First, ASML Holding (ASML) accidentally revealed that its quarterly sales would come in much worse than expected. A few days later, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) announced earnings that blew past expectations. So as the trading week came to an end, James walked his Investment Network members through the whipsaw market action. He explains why AI stocks will continue to see wild swings… and why you should be optimistic in the long term. James’ timely analysis was his most-liked story last week, which is why I’ve unlocked it for you.

Remember, we publish tens to HUNDREDS of stories. The write-ups above are our TOP ones for the week — including one that had been roped off from the public. If you want to stay ahead of the pack, make sure you’re caught up now.

The Reader Forum:

Last week, Matt asked “Is Paradigm Failing You?”... and invited you to let us know in a special survey.

We received more responses than we’ve ever had to a Concierge survey — in fact, more than every previous one combined!

But that didn’t stop Matt from reading every comment, just like he promised. He even shared some of the sharpest criticism with the entire team:

  • "Quit running long, long, long and very painful and barely tolerable promos of yourself before actually saying anything.”
  • "You're flooding my inbox with content. I'm not a not able to follow through all that stuff.”
  • "No more clickbait emails with links to hour-long videos."
  • "I don't have time to listen to your videos so I often start listening and then click out. PLEASE provide a way to read a TRANSCRIPT of the presentation. I would really appreciate that!"
  • "Why, oh why, do your videos drone on for 60-90 minutes with NO way for me to fast forward OR better yet, read a transcript?”

So it went — pages and pages of people saying essentially the same thing.

Of course, there were a few compliments here and there. “I like most everything you publish,” says one. “Everything’s great. Keep doing what you’re doing,” encourages another.

And while it would have been easy to focus just on the positives, Matt is determined to do something about the negatives.

“Look, we love being able to publish big ideas to our readers, and to do that we’ve got to keep the lights on — we’re running a business,” he said in a staff memo. “BUT we will treat our bosses better and implement some new policies on longer videos.”

That means reducing the number of emails we send out… giving a transcript option with EVERY recorded presentation we make (which will go into effect in the next week)… and boosting the benefits of hearing what we have to say.

He also wants to make sure you receive the content you pay for as quickly and easily as possible.

So our tech team is putting the final touches on an app for smartphones, which will tell you about any new recommendations our analysts send.

It will be much more convenient than checking your email or logging into our website. And you’ll never miss a lucrative trade alert!

But his final initiative is the one I’m most excited about… and you should be, too.

We’re planning a reader appreciation month!
