Ever since the rotation kicked off in mid-October, the number one question hitting our inbox is some version of the same thing: How do I manage risk right now? 
Fair question. And it&rsquo;s one I&rsquo;ve spent the better part of 25 years obsessing over.
Before I joined Paradigm, I ran hedge funds and managed over a billion dollars.
At the first one, I served as head of risk and quantitative research alongside two other portfolio managers. My job, day in and day out, was building the analytics to minimize our mistakes and amplify what we did well.
At the next fund &mdash; which I co-founded with Marc Intrieri, my current partner on the Signal Trader Pro software &mdash; I was the managing partner.
I had three portfolio managers underneath me, and we migrated all of our risk management directly into proprietary software. That same software now powers every position we track at Paradigm through Signal Trader Pro.
So when I say I take this seriously, I mean it.
It wouldn&rsquo;t be unfair to say that for the last 25 years, a massive chunk of my time and focus has been directed strictly at risk management.

&ldquo;There are no signs of retail interest in energy stocks yet,&rdquo; says Jim Rickards&rsquo; senior analyst, Dan Amoss.
&ldquo;The Strait of Hormuz situation must seem too remote to matter to public perception.&rdquo;
In other words, despite all the action in oil prices, everyday investors aren&rsquo;t buying shares of companies that deal in oil and natural gas.
But that&rsquo;s actually creating the conditions for much higher energy costs down the line.
According to Byron King &mdash; our Harvard-trained geologist and former oil man &mdash; we&rsquo;re on a path towards an oil and gas shortage &ldquo;because no one is investing for future oil and gas production.&rdquo;
That&rsquo;s especially true in the United States, where oil services company Haliburton Co. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/HAL">HAL</a>) is moving equipment to the Middle East because of a lack of drilling interest in our country.
The biggest shock will be in natural gas.
When most people think of natural gas, they think of home heating and appliances. But it&rsquo;s also a key fuel for generating electricity.
In fact, our natural resource expert, Matt Badiali, calls it &ldquo;the fuel of choice for&hellip; data centers.&rdquo;
So natural gas prices have a direct impact on your electricity bill. And because of a lack of natural gas infrastructure, the United States will have trouble keeping up with demand for the fuel source.
Matthew Smith of investment firm Chronometer Partners even predicts we&rsquo;re heading for a natural gas shortage &ldquo;with no precedent.&rdquo;
Dan agrees.
&ldquo;Natural gas could be a bottleneck trade in the late 2020s,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;And when the supply-demand tilts over, you can have years of super-normal earnings.&rdquo;
It&rsquo;s a strong reason for buying Patterson-UTI Energy Inc. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/PTEN">PTEN</a>), an oil and gas services company that Dan recommended for Jim&rsquo;s <a href="https://paradigmpresslive.com/America7626">76/26 event back in June</a>.
Another name to consider is the United States Natural Gas Fund LP (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/UNG">UNG</a>), an exchange-traded fund tied to natural gas prices.
According to trading and options specialist Alan Knuckman, UNG &ldquo;has the best risk-reward that I can see on the board.&rdquo;

&ldquo;None of this looks like panic to me. This looks like a necessary volatile period we&rsquo;re hitting.&rdquo;
That was our trading specialist Greg Guenthner, telling Omega Wealth Circle members why they shouldn&rsquo;t worry about the recent pullback in big-name stocks.
He was explaining that a lot of stocks had jumped very high in very little time, which was unsustainable.
&ldquo;These stocks need to reset,&rdquo; he explained. And stocks &ldquo;are consolidating and correcting in a very orderly manner.&rdquo;
Chief Investment Director Enrique Abeyta agreed.
&ldquo;If they go up really fast,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;then they have to take a break.&rdquo;
That doesn&rsquo;t mean we&rsquo;ve seen the end of the sell-offs, he cautions. There could still be some profit-taking that pushes prices lower.
But he believes AI stocks will still pay off in the long term.
Ari Goldschmidt, one of the longest-tenured analysts for Altucher&rsquo;s Investment Network, says the ultimate outlook is good, too.
&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t see demand for AI and for computer memory chips going away anytime soon,&rdquo; he said.
&ldquo;Equating it to the dot-com bubble, this is still 1993,&rdquo; Ari adds. &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve got a long way to go before the top.&rdquo;
So if you&rsquo;re looking at losses right now, you might want to hold on tight. There could be some more roughness ahead, but the ultimate direction is up.
You could also buy some of the fallen names now, knowing there could be drops ahead.
&ldquo;You&rsquo;re not going to lose a lot of money in the worst-case scenario,&rdquo; Enrique says. And, again, you should make money in the long run.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to play the volatility with stock options &mdash; giving you a chance to turn the short-term fluctuations into fast profits.

Wall Street traders used to say, &ldquo;Sell in May and go away.&rdquo;
It meant to sell any speculative positions before summer slowed everything down. That way, you&rsquo;d have nothing to worry about as you headed out on vacation.
These days, of course, the markets rarely slow down.
Thanks to smartphones, deep-pocketed investors can stay on top of the news and ahead of the latest investment trends. They can also continue buying and selling, no matter where they are in the world.
And automated trading programs keep the markets moving without a break.
So opportunities to take profits or buy at great prices can come at any time.
One way to prepare for any ups and downs in your open positions is to place conditional sell orders with your broker. They automatically trigger when the conditions are met.
To protect your profits, you can use what&rsquo;s called a sell stop order. It triggers when a stock&rsquo;s price falls to the price you specify.
For example, if you own a $20 stock, you can place a stop order to sell your shares if the price drops to $15. The order won&rsquo;t trigger unless the stock price hits $15 a share.
You can also lock in profits with a sell limit order. This is an instruction to automatically sell your shares if the price rises to a set point.
For example, if one of your stocks is trading for $20, you can set a sell limit order to close the position at $30.
You can place both stop sell orders and sell limit orders on a stock, covering whether your shares go up or down. But Wall Street insiders can influence the markets to trigger your sell orders &mdash; prematurely knocking you out of a promising trade.
They also only help with stocks you already own&hellip; meaning you miss great buying opportunities.

Now, here&rsquo;s what&rsquo;s happening around the water cooler this week&hellip;
<h2 class="subhead nbp">The Water Cooler &mdash; Upcoming Events and More</h2>
SpaceX&rsquo;s initial public offering (IPO) &mdash; the day its shares started trading on the stock exchange &mdash; brought in $75 billion.
By the time Wall Street shut down on Friday, the company was worth $2.1 trillion.
And its value is expected to keep climbing today.
But as <a href="https://concierge.paradigmpressgroup.com/post/elons-spacex-conspiracy">I explained last week</a>, the company currently isn&rsquo;t profitable&hellip; and isn&rsquo;t expected to be for years.
Wall Street&rsquo;s deep pockets &mdash; who managed to snag most of the newly available SpaceX shares &mdash; know this. It&rsquo;s likely they&rsquo;re plotting a quick exit as the stock&rsquo;s price rises.
There are also plenty of venture capitalists and private equity funds who put money into SpaceX before the public could. They received shares of the company, but aren&rsquo;t allowed to sell them right away.
So they haven&rsquo;t been able to cash in on SpaceX&rsquo;s success. However, the lockout period will end over the next few months, which could lead to a wave of selling.
Our team will be watching the action very closely, looking for any opportunity to buy SpaceX stock at a reasonable price.
We&rsquo;re also keeping a close eye on smaller stocks that could rise alongside SpaceX &mdash; possibly even delivering bigger percentage gains.
For example, the Nasdaq is replacing five stocks on its Nasdaq 100 index with companies dedicated to artificial intelligence infrastructure and space. The new additions include CoreWeave Inc. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/crwv">CRWV</a>)... Rocket Lab Corp. (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/rklb">RKLB</a>)... and Nebius Group NV (<a href="https://my.paradigmpressgroup.com/ticker/nbis">NBIS</a>)
These businesses could all benefit as Elon Musk plans to put data centers into orbit &mdash; which will make other tech companies try to establish satellite-based AI, too.
Adding these names to the Nasdaq 100 means any investment funds that track the index will need to buy shares of these names, too.
If nothing else, it will create a catalyst for a short-term pop.

After SpaceX: 3 Stocks to Watch

Wall Street is counting down until Friday&hellip;
The day SpaceX starts trading on Nasdaq&hellip; a public stock exchange.
In theory, that&rsquo;s the day anyone with a stock brokerage account can buy shares in Elon Musk&rsquo;s rocket and satellite company.
It&rsquo;s called an initial public offering (IPO), and it&rsquo;s set to be the largest stock market debut in history.
But think twice before trying to rush in to grab some SpaceX shares yourself.
For one thing, institutions and deep-pocketed investors have dibs &mdash; meaning you might have to pay inflated prices to get your hands on the stock.
History also shows that IPOs have a hard time making money. Out of the 30 biggest IPOs of all time, only 43% of the shares were up a year later.
That means more than half of IPOs actually lost early investors money in their first year.
If that&rsquo;s not enough to dissuade you from buying into the SpaceX hype, here&rsquo;s one last reason:
There are even better opportunities to consider &mdash; including SpaceX-adjacent stocks that offer chances for bigger gain.

SpaceX shares will start trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange on Friday. Everyday investors won&rsquo;t be able to touch SpaceX shares until then.
But Wall Street insiders are already making their move.
In fact, ultra-wealthy investor Ron Baron has an order in to buy $1 billion worth of SpaceX the second the shares go up for sale.
You can bet he&rsquo;s not the only one prepared to move at the jump. A lot of the company&rsquo;s shares could already be spoken for&hellip;
&ldquo;Goldman Sachs isn&rsquo;t going to make it easy to get your hands on these shares,&rdquo; says our Sean Ring.
Then there&rsquo;s the question of whether they&rsquo;re worth owning in the first place.
Yes, SpaceX has made a lot of headlines and raked in lots of revenue.
But the company hasn&rsquo;t made a profit yet&hellip; and won&rsquo;t start making money for several years.
It&rsquo;s true that a lot of IPOs aren&rsquo;t profitable when they start trading. And the lack of profits could be why most IPOs have a lousy first year.
Keith Lerner, Chief Investment Officer for Truist Financial Corp., ran the numbers for 30 of the biggest recent IPOs. His data shows that only 43% of the companies had higher share prices a year after their debut.
In other words, it&rsquo;s more likely SpaceX&rsquo;s share price will be lower this time next year.
Of course, there&rsquo;s a real &ldquo;fear of missing out&rdquo; on SpaceX. The hype might make you feel like you need to own a piece of SpaceX as soon as you can.
