Ever since the rotation kicked off in mid-October, the number one question hitting our inbox is some version of the same thing: How do I manage risk right now? 
Fair question. And it&rsquo;s one I&rsquo;ve spent the better part of 25 years obsessing over.
Before I joined Paradigm, I ran hedge funds and managed over a billion dollars.
At the first one, I served as head of risk and quantitative research alongside two other portfolio managers. My job, day in and day out, was building the analytics to minimize our mistakes and amplify what we did well.

Earlier this morning, Trump posted news that he was pausing strikes against Iran for five days thanks to &ldquo;productive talks.&rdquo;
Wall Street immediately cheered the news.
But as our Sean Ring points out, there&rsquo;s no word on whether or not Israel has agreed to stop its attacks on the country.
Iran, meanwhile, says it hasn&rsquo;t been negotiating with the United States.
So don&rsquo;t be surprised if the fighting suddenly flares up again.
And even if Trump&rsquo;s overtures do bear fruit, we&rsquo;re still not out of the woods.
Global supply chains have been completely disrupted. Critical oil infrastructure has been destroyed.
It will take months &mdash; if not years &mdash; to get everything up and running again.
As Jim Rickards&rsquo; top analyst, Dan Amoss puts it, Trump&rsquo;s decision to postpone attacking Iran&rsquo;s electrical grid could mean the world avoids &ldquo;a humanitarian catastrophe.&rdquo;
Instead, the destruction means we&rsquo;ll &ldquo;only&rdquo; have to deal with &ldquo;a global recession with pandemic-like fiscal stimulus and the Federal Reserve injecting more cash into the economy.&rdquo;

&ldquo;Interesting speculation out there about the timing of any USA action in Iran,&rdquo; Enrique Abeyta posted in our <a href="https://concierge.paradigmpressgroup.com/post/our-daily-feed-is-live">smartphone app&rsquo;s Daily Feed</a> last Wednesday.
&ldquo;It looks like this weekend or early next week could be the time for action.&rdquo;
Sure enough, the bombs started dropping Saturday morning.
&ldquo;Both the 12-Day War and this one both began after markets closed on Fridays,&rdquo; Daily Reckoning&rsquo;s Adam Sharp observed over the weekend. &ldquo;So considerate.&rdquo;
But he also notes that Iran&rsquo;s retaliation has gone beyond U.S. and Israeli targets, with strikes against countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.
&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t recall this happening at all last time,&rdquo; Adam adds.
There have also been attacks on oil infrastructure, with threats to oil tankers in the area.
&ldquo;Many ships are waiting on both ends just now,&rdquo; Byron King reports. &ldquo;The insurance companies have announced &lsquo;war risk&rsquo; notification&rdquo;... meaning they won&rsquo;t cover any losses from enemy action.
Byron also expects things to settle down sooner rather than later.
For one thing, the &ldquo;U.S. military lacks deep magazines of munitions&rdquo; &mdash; meaning we simply don&rsquo;t have enough bullets for a drawn-out conflict. Second, it&rsquo;s an election year, and &ldquo;Americans don&rsquo;t like war.&rdquo;
Besides, Byron adds, the U.S. military has already knocked out most of Iran&rsquo;s ability to fight back. &ldquo;We can bomb Iran wherever, whenever,&rdquo; he claims.
So the war could simmer down sooner rather than later&hellip; meaning investors might be overreacting, as usual.
Even oil could see a quick rebound. There&rsquo;s plenty of the stuff in storage, which has kept a lid on prices until now. So any pause in the fighting will see those prices drop.
&ldquo;Who wants to bet that oil is flat by the end of the day?&rdquo; says Enrique.
He thinks investors are so wrong that he&rsquo;s put out a special video explaining Wall Street&rsquo;s mistake.

At the start of February, Paradigm Press Chief Investment Director Enrique Abeyta told members:
As we kick off the first trading day of the month of FEBRUARY, a reminder that this is often a choppy month for stocks. In the last 25 years, the S&amp;P 500 has been up for the month a little more than 50% of the time with an average -0.44% return. The good news is that if January and the prior 12 months was higher, the numbers improve a lot. (via Bespoke Investment)
Then, during the tech stock sell-off last week, Enrique let Paradigm members know:
If you own technology stocks, right now you are likely feeling some pain. ESPECIALLY if you own AI-related or software stocks. What is interesting, though, is MOST stocks are acting well. Below is a chart of the market-cap weighted S&amp;P 500 (white) and the equal-weighted S&amp;P 500 (blue). Most stocks are hanging in fine or going up while technology gets destroyed. With great numbers so far out of technology and software, we would be BUYING TECH AND SOFTWARE HAND-OVER-FIST right now.

Around the same time, income and trading specialist Zach Scheidt was telling members:
Over the past 5 days, the "equal weight" S&amp;P 500 has outperformed the traditional index by the most in years. This shows that capital is moving AWAY from the mega-cap stocks and into a more diverse group. Takeaway? We're in a target rich environment where more stocks are trading higher, giving us more opportunity!
On Friday, after a brutal drop in precious metals prices, the Daily Reckoning&rsquo;s Adam Sharp said:
Gold, silver, and miners are rebounding nicely today. Gold is trading up 3.4% to $4,975 and silver moved up 8.5% to $77.86. The SILJ silver miner ETF moved up $7% and the GDX gold miner ETF rebounded 5.2% just before the close of trading. Personally, I'd be content to hover around these levels and consolidate for a while before the next leg up. But I have a feeling the market might have other ideas for us, and the rollercoaster will continue for a bit. Which direction we go in the short-term is hard to tell, but over the longer term, we're headed higher.

Thanks for the question, Thomas. And there&rsquo;s a good reason you can&rsquo;t find the stock &mdash; shares aren&rsquo;t for sale yet. At least not to the general public!
SpaceX is private, which means that everyday people cannot buy stock in the company. You need to have deep pockets and the right connections to invest in it.
There are rumors that Elon Musk will make SpaceX public this year. It will start with an initial public offering (IPO), which will make shares available for sale on stock exchanges.
Until then, there are only a few ways us ordinary folks can invest in SpaceX. You can look for publicly traded funds that own a private stake in SpaceX. Or you could buy shares of companies that are related to SpaceX.

Over the weekend, Donald Trump announced a 10% tariff against Denmark, Norway and other European countries starting Feb. 1.
He also warned they will be increased 25% on June 1.
&ldquo;This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland," he posted on Truth Social.
Wall Street is selling off as a result.
But we&rsquo;ve seen this happen before.

While Donald Trump&rsquo;s international policies have dominated the news, his domestic economic announcements have been raising eyebrows in our office.
The markets are already reacting to the announcement that the Justice Department is investigating Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
The president is angry that Powell hasn&rsquo;t lowered interest rates more aggressively &mdash; so this could be a way to push the chairman out before his term expires later this year.
Jim Rickards&rsquo; go-to analyst, Dan Amoss, sees the possibility that U.S. Commerce Secretary Scott Bessant could end up running the Fed, too.
He points out that despite the Federal Reserve&rsquo;s supposed independence, it has spent the last few decades working with the government to prop up the markets.
&ldquo;They just haven&rsquo;t been transparent about it,&rdquo; Dan adds. &ldquo;At least not yet.&rdquo;
Donald Trump has also told banks that he wants credit card interest rates to max out at 10% &mdash; which will make banks lose a huge amount of revenue. Other industries that earn money from credit cards, like airlines, could suffer, too.
But in this case, Trump&rsquo;s threats are unlikely to become reality. Dan says it&rsquo;s &ldquo;one of Trump's knee-jerk tweets to be reversed or ignored by card issuers.&rdquo;
For one thing, there are enormous legal hurdles to forcing banks to change their rates. And Dan assumes Bessant will explain to Trump why his proposal won&rsquo;t fly.
Trump is also moving to ban giant investment management companies, like Blackrock Inc., from buying houses. The president hopes that keeping these deep-pocketed institutions out of the market will make homes more affordable.
&ldquo;Banning Blackstone from homebuying may or may not affect housing prices,&rdquo; says our Byron King. &ldquo;But it makes Trump look like the champion of the little guy, the family that wants to buy a house and raise children.&rdquo;
That seems to be the impetus behind all of Trump&rsquo;s latest economic announcements &mdash; to show that he&rsquo;s doing something to make the American dream more affordable.
Whether he&rsquo;ll succeed or not is another question. But you can expect Wall Street to overreact to every comment from the White House&hellip; creating incredible profit opportunities for you.
