Rickards on Israel

Soaring interest rates — with the 10-year yield above 5% this morning and mortgage rates near 8%...

Higher energy and gold prices…

Political uncertainty in the United States…

And a fuse lit in the Middle East…

As our publisher Matt Insley recently said, “It’s a Rickards world — we’re just living in it.”

Luckily, Jim has TWO important messages on the way — which I’ll detail in a moment.

But first, let’s take a look at our Top Stories and the Reader Forum.

Your Top Stories & Analysis of the Week:

  • “The Name’s Bond… Treasury Bond'' (Rude Awakening, Sean Ring): Treasury bonds are suddenly hot again — even though few everyday investors understand how they work or why they’re so important. So Sean takes you on a tour of the government bond market… explaining everything you need to know about them — including why you might want to think twice before adding some to your portfolio.
  • “The S&P 493: It’s Time to Buy This Index” (Rich Retirement Letter, Zach Scheidt): The S&P 500 index is supposed to gauge the performance of a diverse roster of stocks. But right now, its ups and downs are being dictated by just seven companies. So Zach shares a simple strategy that lets you focus on the other 493 stocks that make up the index. He even gives you a specific name that delivers easy and inexpensive diversification for the entire index — not just the tech darlings.
  • “Monthly Mastermind: The Creative Paradigm Shift” (Altucher’s Investment Network, James Altucher): Striking Hollywood actors want guarantees that artificial intelligence (AI) recreations won’t replace them — another sign of how far-ranging the technology could be. The music industry faces similar challenges, as James recently discussed with rock legend Vernon Reid. Not only is Vernon considered one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, but he also has deep knowledge of technological topics. James shared this wide-ranging conversation with his Altucher’s Investment Network readers. But it’s so entertaining and informative that I felt compelled to unlock it for you.

Remember, we publish tens to HUNDREDS of stories. The write-ups and presentations above are our TOP ones for the week — including one that had been roped off from the public. If you want to stay ahead of the pack, make sure you’re caught up now.

And if you’d like to nominate any of our stories for next week’s “Top 3,” just let me know at concierge@paradigmpressgroup.com.

The Reader Forum:

It’s been nearly three weeks since our Paradigm Shift Summit, but we’re still receiving praise for the event. Eddy R. tells us:

I had a great time listening to the speeches of all of your editors, meeting fellow subscribers and speaking with a number of your staff members. I hope that the rest of the attendees enjoyed the conference as much as I was able to.

Eddy, thank you for sharing your thoughts! Our team worked very hard to ensure the Summit went off without a hitch, so I’m glad our efforts were appreciated. And I enjoyed meeting so many members, too.

I look forward to sharing your comments with everyone at Paradigm!

Next, Chris S. tells is in a 5-star Google review:

Jim Rickards and his team have the right perspective on geopolitics and finance, and it leads to prosperity as a result. I will be sticking with them for a long time.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the high-quality research and analysis Jim and his team delivers… as well as recommendations for turning them into action.

And I thank you for helping to spread the word by taking the time to post your comments!

Finally for today, while we’re encouraged by the compliments we receive, I’m also happy to listen when you think we’ve fallen short of the mark.

One way we do that is through our surveys, like the one I invited you to take last week. It’s the easiest way to share your thoughts with us — good, bad or ugly.

But some members aren’t happy about the service we use to collect your responses. In fact, Roger S. tells us:

Since you decided to use Google for that, and who would keep all that information? Google, of course. Therefore I will not respond.

I understand your concerns, Roger, and I thank you for sharing them.

We’re well aware that Google is a data-hungry company… holding on to every scrap of information we send their way.

On the other hand, there aren’t many alternatives out there. The Web is basically dominated by Google, Amazon and Microsoft. Unless we want to send paper surveys, then enter all the responses by hand, we need to use one of them.

And right now, Google offers the easiest platform to get feedback from our readers, as the stellar review from Chris S. shows.

That’s why we limit the amount of personal information we ask for — usually just your name and email address. The questions we ask are pretty broad, too, so you don’t have to give too much away. And when you write in any comments, you have complete control over how much you want to say.

Hopefully this helps with your fears. In fact, if you’d still like a say in choosing our next Wealth Desk report, there’s still time — especially since I have breaking news to cover today.

And that wraps up this week’s Reader Forum.

As I said, your feedback is vital to our success… so please email me at concierge@paradigmpressgroup.com.

Questions? I’ll get answers! Comments? Let me hear them! Problems? I’ll try to solve them!

This is YOUR forum!

Now, here’s what’s happening around the water cooler this week…

The Water Cooler — Upcoming Events and More

It’s a Jim Rickards world.

And Jim’s sage insight is more valuable than ever.

That’s why we have two special announcements, including a “heads up” about Jim’s latest takes…

First, Jim is putting the finishing touches on his latest issue of Strategic Intelligence.

He tackles all things Israel, and won’t pull any punches.

For longtime readers, it should come as NO surprise that Jim has spent extensive time in Israel and the Middle East, going back over 40 years.

His special knowledge base will give you a jumpstart on what’s about to unfold.

As Jim puts it, “Markets will be impossible to navigate in the months ahead without this in-depth knowledge.”

Stay tuned. That issue of Strategic Intelligence is set to air on Oct. 30.

Next up is something even more urgent about Jim’s take on Israel.

A special team in the Paradigm Press offices have been working for months on an important project…

Now, they’re ready to share!

Tomorrow, our very own Sean Ring will release an exclusive interview with Jim Rickards for the premiere of our brand-new Paradigm Press YouTube channel.

Our first topic: The situation in Israel. Jim will set the stage and give you everything you need to know.

So buckle up, we’re about to hit the ground running to answer your most pressing questions!

All you have to do is watch your inbox. We’ll send out an email as soon as Jim’s YouTube video goes live.

Meanwhile, stay nimble out there — markets are moving.
